Vocal Workshop with Jason Nicholson-Porter
I invite you to a 3-hour vocal workshop led by British gospel singer, songwriter, and vocal coach Jason Nicholson-Porter, known for his incredible vocal range and boundless energy!
Come and experience the authentic and untamed energy of a performer who can ignite every audience. His voice moves effortlessly from tenderness to an explosion of emotion and power.
Jason is considered one of the finest voices on the British gospel scene – an internationally recognized worship leader and minister of music with an exceptionally wide vocal range.
He rose to fame through The Voice UK in 2018, where he was part of Jennifer Hudson’s team and made it to the quarterfinals!
I first saw Jason perform at UGCY – the UK Gospel Choir competition, and it was an unforgettable experience, full of emotion and incredible energy. He had the entire audience on their feet – the whole hall was singing and dancing along with him.
Jason will be in Slovakia for the first time, and I’m truly delighted that he accepted my invitation to share his energy and many years of experience as a vocal coach with all of you who take part in this unique opportunity.
The workshop will be co-led by me, Anna Re, and it will be interpreted into Slovak.
Together, we will create a one-of-a-kind “Thank You” choir!
Under Jason’s guidance, we will learn to sing one of his original songs using techniques and styles that feature the signature elements of African-American gospel music.
In addition, Jason will introduce us to the song “Thank You” by Anna Re, in a special arrangement that was recorded just last week in London with professional British singers.
Together, we’ll form a unique “Thank You” choir created exclusively for this occasion. Get ready for an intense experience filled with energy, group singing, and inspiration.
About the Workshop Leader – Jason Nicholson-Porter (UK)
Jason Nicholson-Porter is a prominent British gospel singer, songwriter, vocal coach, and worship leader.
He was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and moved to London, England, as a teenager. As the eldest of nine children, music has been part of his life since early childhood thanks to his parents.
Jason began singing as a child, giving his first solo performance at the age of five – it was then he first felt the powerful emotional connection he could create with an audience.
His vocal style is a fusion of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and John Legend, while his music combines elements of R&B, jazz, and indie.
With over 20–30 years of vocal performance experience, Jason is known for his passion for worship and leading others in praise.

- Writing, producing, and releasing the song “Send Your Fire” (also known as “Send Your Power”), followed by a tour in South Africa.
- Touring across the UK with Rebecca Ferguson (runner-up on The X Factor).
- Performing as part of the Foreign Praise Collective alongside artists such as Marcia Walder-Thomas, Orv Thomas, and others.
- Opening for renowned artists including Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary, Micah Stampley, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Richard Smallwood, and Kirk Franklin.
- Serving as CEO of JANP Music and Media Production, where he has worked in music and media for over twenty years, primarily in the gospel field.
- Contributing as a composer to the film Mum, Dad, Meet Sam (2014).
